Jewelry Warranty - New Purchases

Jackson Jewelers - Jewelry Warranty Information

At Jackson Jewelers, we stand by the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. To ensure your satisfaction, we provide a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for all Jackson Jewelers fine jewelry.

If your jewelry experiences damage due to a manufacturing defect, please reach out to us for an evaluation. We may request photographs to determine if the issue qualifies under the warranty. For customers within the U.S., complimentary return shipping labels are available for out-of-state returns.

Common Issues Covered Under the 2-Year Limited Warranty:

  • Loss of a small side diamond due to improper setting.
  • Unexplained discoloration of metal. (Note: Prolonged exposure to hot tubs or swimming pools can cause discoloration. We recommend removing your jewelry before these activities.)
  • Center stone becoming loose without any apparent reason.
  • Cracks in the gallery or shank of a ring with no visible cause.

All warranty claims are subject to evaluation and approval by Jackson Jewelers.

Wear & Tear Policy

Fine jewelry is subject to normal wear and tear, particularly rings, which endure daily use and pressure. Our warranty does not cover excessive wear and tear, loss of center and side gemstones due to excessive wear and tear, product loss, or theft. Additionally, it excludes damage or loss resulting from the failure to complete necessary repairs to maintain the jewelry’s integrity.

Examples of Common Jewelry Issues Not Covered Under the Warranty:

  • Metal discoloration caused by over exposure to chemicals, makeup, pools, hot tubs, or bathing.
  • Natural wear of metals and prongs happens over time, which may require restoration. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
  • Prongs wearing out faster, catching, or bending from regular or excessive use, potentially leading to gemstone loss.
  • Gemstone loss resulting from damage caused by every day or excessive wear or other external factors.
  • Chipping or fracturing of any stone, center or side from over excessive use.
  • Chains or clasps wearing out due to everyday or excessive wear.

Center Stone Policy

Jackson Jewelers is not responsible for the loss of any center stone at any time. In the event that a center stone is lost, the client will be solely responsible for replacing the stone, regardless of the circumstances.

If the lost center stone was recently set into a new mounting by Jackson Jewelers, we will cover the service work to re-set the replacement stone or repair/replace the mounting if a manufacturing defect or workmanship issue is determined. However, this coverage does not extend to the value of the lost center stone itself.

Because of the high value and sentimental importance of center stones, Jackson Jewelers strongly recommends that all clients obtain independent jewelry insurance to protect against loss, theft, or damage.

If you would like guidance on how to secure insurance coverage, your Jackson Jewelers client advisor will be happy to provide recommendations. We will place a link below to Jewelers Mutual who is a highly recommended Jewelry Insurance Firm.

Repair Services Outside of Warranty

For repair claims not covered under our 2-year limited warranty, we will provide a detailed quote for your approval before any work is performed. If you choose not to proceed with the repair, you will be responsible for any associated shipping costs in both directions. If a manufacturing defect is identified, we will repair or replace the item at no charge under our 2-year warranty.

Important Notice: Repairs or services performed by a jeweler other than Jackson Jewelers will void this warranty.

Independent Jewelry Insurance

We strongly recommend securing independent insurance coverage to protect your jewelry from significant damage, loss, or theft. While Jackson Jewelers takes great care in crafting and servicing your pieces, having your jewelry insured offers valuable peace of mind.

One trusted option is Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group, a company that specializes exclusively in jewelry insurance and has served the industry for over a century. For your convenience, we can provide a direct link to their application process.

However, Jewelers Mutual is just one option. If you already have a homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy, you may be able to add a jewelry rider or schedule your items through your existing insurance provider. We recommend reaching out to your insurance agent to discuss coverage options.

To obtain independent jewelry insurance—whether through Jewelers Mutual or your own insurance company—you will need to provide either:

·         A copy of your itemized sales receipt, or

·         A professional jewelry appraisal, which we are happy to provide upon request, but only if your item was purchased at Jackson Jewelers. Please see our Jewelry Appraisal page for more information.
