Jewelry Warranty (V2)

Jackson Jewelers - Jewelry Warranty

At Jackson Jewelers, we stand by the quality and craftsmanship of every piece we sell. All Jackson Jewelers fine jewelry is backed by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

2-Year Limited Warranty

If your jewelry experiences an issue that appears to be the result of a manufacturing defect, please contact us for an evaluation. We may request photographs to assess the issue before proceeding. Complimentary return shipping is available for U.S. customers submitting warranty claims by mail.

Examples of issues that may be covered under warranty include a small side diamond becoming loose or lost due to an improper setting, unexplained discoloration of metal unrelated to chemical exposure, a center stone becoming loose without apparent cause, and cracks in the gallery or shank of a ring with no visible external cause.

All warranty claims are subject to evaluation and approval by Jackson Jewelers.

Center Stone Policy

Jackson Jewelers is not responsible for the loss of any center stone at any time. In the event a center stone is lost, the client is solely responsible for the cost of replacing the stone regardless of the circumstances.

If a center stone is lost from a mounting that was recently set by Jackson Jewelers and a manufacturing defect or workmanship issue is determined to be the cause, we will cover the labor to re-set the replacement stone or repair the mounting. This does not extend to the value of the lost stone itself.

Because of the high value and sentimental importance of center stones, we strongly recommend that all clients obtain independent jewelry insurance.

Wear & Tear

Fine jewelry, particularly rings, is subject to normal wear and tear through daily use. The following are not covered under our warranty: metal discoloration caused by exposure to chemicals, makeup, pools, or hot tubs; natural wearing of metal and prongs over time; prongs bending, catching, or wearing down from regular use; gemstone loss resulting from worn or damaged prongs due to everyday wear; chipping or fracturing of any stone from external impact or excessive use; and chains or clasps wearing out from regular use.

We strongly recommend having your prongs and settings inspected periodically. Failure to maintain necessary repairs that compromise the integrity of the piece may void the warranty.

Repairs Outside of Warranty

For repairs not covered under the 2-year limited warranty, we will provide a detailed quote for your approval before any work is performed. If you choose not to proceed, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. If a manufacturing defect is identified, the repair or replacement will be completed at no charge under the warranty.

Please note that any repairs or services performed by a jeweler other than Jackson Jewelers will void this warranty.

Independent Jewelry Insurance

We strongly recommend securing independent insurance to protect your jewelry against loss, theft, or significant damage. One trusted option is Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group, a company that specializes exclusively in jewelry insurance and has served the industry for over a century. If you have an existing homeowner's or renter's insurance policy, you may also be able to add a jewelry rider through your current provider. We recommend speaking with your insurance agent to explore your options.

To obtain coverage you will typically need either a copy of your itemized sales receipt or a professional appraisal. Appraisals are available upon request for items purchased at Jackson Jewelers. Please see our Jewelry Appraisal page for more information.
