Watch Service & Repair (V2)
Jackson Jewelers primarily services Rolex watches. For all other brands, service is available on a case-by-case basis for watches originally purchased from Jackson Jewelers. If your watch was purchased with us, we will do our best to assist, either through our in-house watchmaker or through a designated outside service facility. All work performed outside of our shop will be discussed and agreed upon with you before your watch leaves our care.
All in-house work is performed by our on-site watchmaker at our Salem, Oregon service center. Your watch is never sent to Rolex or any third party unless discussed and agreed upon with you in advance.
Rolex Service & Repair
Rolex is our specialty. Jackson Jewelers holds an approved Rolex spare parts account, giving us direct access to genuine Rolex components, something most independent shops do not have. We are an independent service provider and not an authorized Rolex retailer.
Complete Overhaul
The Complete Overhaul is our most comprehensive service and is recommended every 5–7 years. It includes full disassembly and cleaning of all components, replacement of worn parts and gaskets using genuine Rolex parts, lubrication to factory specifications, reassembly and regulation, and case and bracelet refinishing.
An in-person evaluation is required before any work begins. We will provide a clear service recommendation and estimate before proceeding. Estimated turnaround is 4–8 weeks. If delays arise due to parts availability, we will keep you informed.
1-Year Limited Warranty
Most Rolex Complete Overhauls at Jackson Jewelers are backed by our 1-year in-house warranty, covering time regulation adjustments and power reserve issues at no additional charge. This warranty begins on the date the watch is returned to the owner following the completed service. Following any subsequent warranty repair, the warranty period restarts from the date the watch is returned to the owner. The warranty does not cover damage from physical impacts, improper use, or exposure to harmful conditions.
Other Luxury Brands
For watches purchased at Jackson Jewelers outside of Rolex, we will do our best to assist with service and repair. Depending on the brand and the nature of the work needed, service may be performed in-house or through a designated outside facility. Please contact us to discuss your timepiece before bringing it in.

When a Watch Cannot Be Repaired
In some cases, a watch may be evaluated and determined to be beyond repair, or the parts required may no longer be available. If this occurs, Jackson Jewelers will notify you promptly and return the watch to you at no charge. No service fees will be applied to watches that cannot be repaired.
Unclaimed & Abandoned Watches
Watches left at Jackson Jewelers for service, repair, safekeeping, or any other purpose must be retrieved in a timely manner following notification that the work has been completed or that the watch is ready for pickup. Jackson Jewelers will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner using the contact information on file.
Watches that remain unclaimed may be deemed abandoned in accordance with applicable Oregon state law. By leaving a watch in our care, the customer acknowledges that it is their sole responsibility to maintain current contact information with Jackson Jewelers and to retrieve their property promptly. Jackson Jewelers is not responsible for loss, damage, or depreciation of unclaimed or abandoned watches.
Common Issues with Mechanical Watches
Water Resistance — Gaskets and seals wear over time. Always ensure screw-down crowns are tightly secured. If you notice condensation inside the case, bring the watch in promptly.
Running Fast or Slow — Normal for mechanical watches. Our watchmaker can regulate your watch after servicing at no charge if adjustments are needed.
Supplemental Winding — Many owners pick up a watch they haven't worn in a few days and put it straight on without winding it first. Automatic watches need a jump start. Before putting your watch on after it has been sitting, wind the crown 40–50 turns to give the movement enough power to run accurately throughout the day. Do not wait for the watch to wind itself from wrist movement alone — starting from a full reserve ensures the best performance and timekeeping accuracy.
Magnetization — Everyday items like phones, speakers, and magnetic bag clasps can affect accuracy. We offer de-magnetization as a quick, non-invasive service.
Watch Care Tips
Keep your watch away from strong magnets, extreme temperatures, and harsh chemicals. For automatic watches, wind the crown 40–50 turns every two weeks if not worn regularly. Avoid adjusting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM. A full overhaul every 5–7 years keeps your mechanical watch running as it should.
