At Jackson Jewelers, we love seeing your jewelry looking its best. Whether it's a ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings, and whether your piece was purchased with us or somewhere else, you're always welcome to stop in for a complimentary cleaning. It's a great excuse to come in, and we're happy to help.

Is jewelry cleaning really free?
Yes. Complimentary cleaning is free for any piece, whether it was purchased from Jackson Jewelers or somewhere else.
How long does cleaning take?
Most cleanings take 5 to 10 minutes and can be done while you wait. For items that need a little more attention, we may ask for about an hour, many customers choose to step out and return shortly after.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment necessary. Just stop in during business hours, Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, at our downtown Salem, Oregon location, and we'll take care of you. Our door is always locked, ring the bell and we'll be with you shortly.
Can I drop off my jewelry and pick it up later?
Yes, but we ask that all cleaning drop-offs be picked up the same day. We prefer not to hold jewelry overnight for cleaning purposes, same-day pickup helps us keep things moving smoothly for all our clients.
What does the cleaning include?
Our complimentary cleaning is an ultrasonic and steam service. We use a professional ultrasonic cleaner followed by a steam finish to restore the brilliance and sparkle of your piece.
What does the cleaning NOT include?
This service does not include refinishing, polishing, or restoration. We will not buff, polish, or remove scratches as part of a complimentary cleaning visit. If your piece needs that level of care, that's a separate paid service, please ask us about our repair and restoration options.
What types of jewelry do you clean?
We clean all types of jewelry, including rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and pendants, as long as they're made of gold, platinum, diamonds, or gemstones. We do not clean silver jewelry.
Do you clean silver jewelry?
No. Complimentary cleaning is available for gold, platinum, diamonds, and gemstones only. We do not offer this service for silver jewelry.
What materials can you clean?
Gold, platinum, diamonds, and gemstones. We do not offer complimentary cleaning for silver jewelry.
Will you check my jewelry for damage while cleaning it?
Yes. While your piece is in our care, we'll take a look at the overall condition, checking for loose stones, worn prongs, or anything else that may need attention. If we notice something that should be addressed, we'll let you know. There's no obligation, we just want you to leave with peace of mind that your jewelry is in good shape.
Can you sign off on my warranty or service plan inspection from another retailer?
No. Some retailers offer service plans or warranties that require periodic inspections or sign-offs by a jeweler to keep the warranty valid. Jackson Jewelers does not provide this service. If your jewelry was purchased elsewhere and requires documented inspections or certifications to maintain a warranty with that retailer, we recommend returning to your original place of purchase for that service.
