Sell Your Watch
Jackson Jewelers buys pre-owned watches directly from individuals. We specialize in Rolex and consider other brands on a case-by-case basis (see the list at the bottom of this page). We purchase watches with or without box and paperwork.
Quick Guide
- Our primary focus is Rolex, other luxury brands considered case-by-case, see our brand list at the bottom of this page.
- Watches accepted with or without original box and paperwork, though including the box is a plus for your offer.
- We buy genuine Rolex watches in any condition, including damaged or non-running, case only or missing a bracelet.
- Start by texting photos to 503-363-5640.
- If we're interested, we'll invite you in for an in-person evaluation, the watch stays with us for further authentication. Typical evaluation time is 5-10 days.
- Accepting a watch for evaluation doesn't confirm its authenticity, only a full watchmaker evaluation does.
- No on-the-spot offers or same-day payment.
- Payment is issued by company check only, we do not pay in cash.
- Required by law to complete a sale: a seller information form, a government-issued photo ID, and a fingerprint.
- You must be the rightful owner of the watch, with legal authority to sell it.
Do you buy pre-owned watches?
Yes. Jackson Jewelers buys pre-owned watches directly from individuals. We specialize in Rolex and consider other brands on a case-by-case basis, see the brand list at the bottom of this page.
How much will you offer for my watch?
We're not able to quote a value or offer in advance, for any brand or model. Every offer depends on an in-person authentication and watchmaker evaluation, since condition, authenticity, and market factors all affect what we can offer. Text us photos at 503-363-5640 to get started, and we'll go from there.
Do I need the original box and papers to sell my watch?
No. We purchase watches with or without box and paperwork. Although if you can provide the box, we do take that into consideration during our offer.
Do you buy watches that are damaged or not running?
Yes, if it's a genuine Rolex, we're comfortable purchasing it in any condition. A cracked crystal, non-functioning movement, water damage, case only, missing a bracelet, or other issues won't disqualify your watch. Let us know about any known damage when you send photos, it will be factored into our offer.
How do I start the process of selling my watch?
The easiest way to get started is to text us photos directly at 503-363-5640. Share clear images of the dial, case, bracelet, and the back of the watch. If known, please also include the reference or model number and serial number of the watch, where you purchased the watch, and how you came to be the owner (gift, inheritance, or other). Please provide a valid cell phone number so we can stay in text communication with you throughout the process.
What happens after I send photos?
Our team will review your photos and let you know if we'd like to take a closer look. If we're interested, we'll invite you to bring the watch in for an in-person evaluation.
Will you make me a same-day offer or payment?
No. We do not make on-the-spot offers or same-day payments. We ask that you leave the watch with us so our watchmaker can inspect the movement and verify authenticity. With the number of high-quality counterfeits in the market today, this step is essential and protects both parties. Typical evaluation time is 5-10 days. Once our evaluation is complete, we'll contact you with our offer.
What happens if I decline your offer, or you decline to purchase my watch?
If either you decide not to accept our offer, or we decide not to move forward with a purchase, your watch will remain available for you to pick up in person whenever you're ready, there's no strict deadline for pickup. If you're unable to pick it up in person, contact us to discuss shipping the watch back to you, return shipping costs may apply.
What happens if my watch doesn't pass authentication?
Accepting your watch for evaluation does not confirm its authenticity. Not all of our team members are specialists in pre-owned watches, so simply receiving your item is the first step, it does not mean anything has been verified yet. Only after our watchmaker completes a full evaluation do we determine whether a watch is genuine. If we determine your watch is counterfeit or not authentic, we will not move forward with a purchase, and your watch will remain available for you to pick up in person whenever you're ready.
How will I be paid if I sell my watch?
If we move forward, payment is issued by company check. We do not pay in cash.
What do I need to bring to complete the sale?
To complete the sale, we're required by law to collect the following:
- A completed seller information form
- A government-issued photo ID
- A fingerprint
You must be the rightful owner of the watch and have the legal authority to sell it.
